We keep on confronting new difficulties and puzzling problems throughout our lives. There are situations when we want magic to happen and miracles to occur. At times, we become totally helpless and the darkness of frustration engulfs us. At other times, flowing with terrible waves of life, we end up suffocating in a tunnel where there is no way of getting out. The thorny road of failure and the mountain of success are not easy to cross and climb. Moreover, we might face all these without thinking for a second but the thunderstorm of emotions that follows is like preventing the overloaded clouds from raining. Amidst all these, Hope gives us support to do wonders and unlock the door of magic.
There are “Heroes of Hope” from history whose persistence, belief, and hope have let the magic happen.
- Nelson Mandela who endured 27 years of imprisonment yet preserved hope to build a new nation.
- Thomas Alva Edison, who lightened the world with electricity and gifted much more facilities to us through his inventions, kept his hope high whenever he failed an attempt to invent after a strong struggle.
The list is long; in short, everyone we see is trying to practice hope against the riddles of life which is out of their ability to understand. So the famous saying “Hope sustains life.”
Appropriately said by Abraham Miller;” A man begins to die when he ceases to expect anything from tomorrow.”
Aside from the benefits of hope, not giving up hope can be a good idea in situations where we need to focus our attention elsewhere to achieve our goal. Continuing down a path where you regularly run into roadblocks, whether in a relationship, a job, or a commercial enterprise, can conceal other paths that could lead to the achievement of an objective. Excess of everything is terrible, no matter how good or necessary it is, and hope is no exception.
In conclusion, the less we can do in our lives is to decide what we are hoping for and the maximum to know that this hope is in the correct orientations and then live inside that hope. Hope is the companion of power and the mother of success, and a person who believes passionately in himself has it inside him “the gift of miracles.”
